Dean of the Faculty – Saidalizoda Shodmon Abduvohid, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor

Biography

Saidalizoda Shodmon Abduvohid was born on May 17, 1989, in the Republic of Tajikistan, into an educated family. In 2006, he graduated from high school with honors and was admitted to the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Tajik National University, now known as the Faculty of Asian and European Languages. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Oriental Philology with distinction in 2011. In the following years, he successfully completed master’s programs in World Economics and Law, both with honors.

From 2012 to 2015, Saidalizoda pursued postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Asian and European Languages. He has held a number of key administrative roles at TNU: from 2014 to 2019 he served as Assistant to the First Vice-Rector and Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs, and from 2019 to 2023 he was Head of the Master’s Department. On December 18, 2023, he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Asian and European Languages.

An active academic and public figure, Saidalizoda has represented Tajikistan at various international conferences and forums in cities such as Dushanbe, Moscow, Delhi, Astana, Ashgabat, and Tashkent. His work is recognized both nationally and internationally.

For his contributions to science and education, he has received numerous awards, including:

  • The Ismoili Somoni State Prize for Young Scientists (2023),
  • A Youth Achievement Award from the Committee for Youth and Sports (2017),
  • The “Excellence in Education and Science” and “Excellence in Culture” medals of the Republic of Tajikistan,
  • Certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science, the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan, and other state bodies.

Saidalizoda is the author of more than 40 scientific and popular publications, including two monographs and three teaching manuals. His work covers key areas in philology and supports the national educational policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon.

He is married and has three children.
