Department of Foreign Languages

The Department of Foreign Languages was established on July 5, 2012, by decision of the Academic Council and by Order No. 269-09 of the University Rector, within the Faculty of Asian and European Languages. The department offers instruction in four specializations: French-Tajik, German-Tajik, Chinese-Tajik, and Chinese-Informatics. The department’s staff consists of 11 instructors, including 5 Candidates of Science, 3 senior lecturers, and 5 assistants.

The department is committed to contributing to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of linguistics, supporting the prosperity and development of the country. These translation groups were established at the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. Their purpose is to translate scientific and literary works from developed countries into Tajik, as well as to translate the finest examples of Tajik scientific and cultural works into foreign languages. This initiative aims to promote closer cultural and civilizational ties between the Tajik people and other nations.
