Deputy Dean for Science and Innovation – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Karimova Dilorom Bahromovna

Karimova D.B. was born on September 6, 1984, in the Republic of Tajikistan into an intellectual family. In 2000, she graduated from secondary school with honors and the same year entered the Faculty of Oriental Studies (now the Faculty of Asian and European Languages) at Tajik National University (TNU). In 2005, she graduated from the Department of Arabic Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at TNU with a degree in Oriental Studies and Philology. From 2006 to 2010, she studied in the part-time postgraduate program of the Faculty of Asian and European Languages at TNU.

From 2005 to 2007, she worked as an assistant at the Department of International Relations of Tajik National University. From 2011 to 2019, she served as an assistant at the Department of Arabic Philology, Faculty of Asian and European Languages, at Tajik National University.

From 2019 to 2025, she served as a senior lecturer at the Department of Arabic Philology. Since 2025, she has been serving as an associate professor at the same department.

In 2020, she defended her PhD dissertation on the topic “Genre and Thematic Features of Arabic Poetry of  Jalaladdin Balkhi-Rumi” to obtain the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences.

In 2024, she was appointed Deputy Dean for Science and Innovation, as well as for International Relations of the Faculty of Asian and European Languages at TNU.

Karimova D.B. is the author of more than 50 scientific works, including monographs, textbooks, and research articles. She actively participates in national and international scientific conferences, having presented more than 30 reports at various events. Her professional activity is focused on the development of Arabic studies in Tajikistan, student education, and the promotion of scientific research in the field of Oriental Studies.
